About us
Bringing new life to the beautiful material of Myanmar
Myanmar is a country with over 130 ethnic groups, each with its own distinct identity. Across generations, exquisite handweaving—rich with diverse colors and designs—has been carefully passed down within each community.
At Moringa, we celebrate Myanmar’s most treasured traditions by giving new life to its beautiful handwoven textiles for modern living.
Through our design and manufacturing, we hope to nurture pride in this craftsmanship so that it enriches people’s lives and continues for generations to come.
Made with care – to last forever.

Our Philosophy
Respecting
Tradition
Moringa highly values the traditions of Myanmar's textile industry, and we are proud to bring a modern-day twist to its designs and techniques.
Working with
Nature
The manufacture of our products is a long and detailed process, but one which we hope will bring pleasure for many years to come. Handwoven material has a wonderfully gentle texture: each plant-dyed fabric has its own unique finish depending on the climate of the region in which it was made and the way the artisans work with them.
Fair Trade
Manufacturing
Moringa strives to improve the lives of all its staff: we employ local Myanmar women and we pay them appropriate wages that reflect their skills.
Caring for the
Environment
All Moringa products are made by hand and are environmentally friendly for the producers, consumers and the earth.
Our Story
Moringa was founded in Yangon in 2016 by two Japanese women to manufacture beautiful products that represent the country’s traditions while supporting local people and their families.
Honoring generations of craft.
Moringa will continue to bring the warmth of Myanmar’s handwoven textiles into everyday life and into the future.
